Two Critical Ways to Drive Your Workday® Implementation
2 min read
Put yourself in the driver's seat and take charge of your Workday® implementation. By taking charge, you can ensure that the system you configure and create is the system you want.

These two tips may seem simple, but they are key to leading your implementation well.
Do Your Own Research
Research the topics that the implementation partner will be presenting prior to each meeting.
Use the Workday® administrator guide
To start, use your administrator guide and read through everything you can. Then, try to perform the task on your own based on the administrator guide in your AMU tenant.
Use Workday® Community
Conduct research in Workday Community for brainstorms on the topic the implementation partner is presenting. If you're feeling unsure about navigating Community, search like you're in Google on the keyword in the right hand corner. Then once you get your search results, on the left hand side filter on the category of "Brainstorms." Read through the posts. If you think they apply to your school, subscribe so you can get updates.
Conduct your research before you meet so that you are better prepared for my next tip...
Ask Questions
I can't tell you how many times in my career that I've asked a question and then had people tell me, "Thank you for asking that. I was thinking the same thing." It can feel scary to speak up, but it's more risky not getting your question out there. Also, ban the phrase, "This might be a stupid question." They never are stupid. It diminishes that fact that something is unclear and that the team is learning.
